Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Around 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance will start mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 American roles within a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are likely, with the company intending to disclose all specifics in its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Prior news stated the firm planned to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.

Until December 2024, the company retained nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 contract workers.

The company has not yet commented to a request for comment.
